Share Your Input with the ANESU Act 46 Study Committee

The ANESU Act 46 Study Committee has been charged with studying the benefits and challenges of complying with this act. We are asking for community input on these benefits and challenges to help us weigh priorities and consider how to structure a possible union. As part of this process, please take our short survey at the following link https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CWR9NVL.

Act 46 encourages Supervisory Union schools to merge together into a Unified Union.  In a Unified Union, there is one central school board instead of individual school boards for each elementary school and high school, and one budget to operate all schools and the central office. Act 46 does not encourage or require closing schools and includes financial incentives for unification.  You can find more information about Act 46 from the Vermont Agency of Education at http://education.vermont.gov/laws/2015/act-46.
