Green Up Day – Saturday May 6, 2017

The first Saturday in May means that it’s Green Up Day.  We already have green trash bags, gloves and the sign up sheet at Town Hall if you want to pick up supplies early.  If you can’t stop in during normal Town Hall hours we will have Town Hall open from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday May 6th.  Come in, grab a few bags and do your part to keep Monkton looking green.

Joint statement from the ANESU Bargaining Council and the ANEDA Bargaining team

At the March 16 open meeting the Board and teachers engaged in collaborative, congenial, open discussion around several aspects of the collective bargaining agreement. All parties left the meeting feeling positive about the Critical Issues Bargaining process and optimistic about the future.

Invitation to Submit Letter of Interest

The Monkton School Board is seeking a Monkton resident interested in serving on the 5-member board as a result of a recent vacancy. It is the responsibility of the School Board to appoint a qualified person to fill this vacancy until an election at a special or the next annual meeting is held. Members of the Monkton community are invited to submit a letter of interest to serve as a board member by Monday, March 27th. The Board will meet with interested individuals on Tuesday, March 28th at 8:00 PM, at Mt. Abraham Union High School and will appoint the new member.

Community Representative needed for Patricia A. Hannaford Career Center Board

Community Representative needed for Patricia A. Hannaford Career Center Board

The Mt Abraham Board is currently looking for a community member to represent the 5 Town community on the Patricia A. Hannaford Career Center Board.  The commitment to this position is currently attending the monthly Board meeting (2nd Wednesday of the month).  It is possible, if you join additional Board committees, that you would attend more meetings.  If you are interested in being appointed to this position, please email Dawn Griswold (dgriswold@anesu.org).  The Mt Abraham Board would like to appoint a community member at their next meeting (3/28), if possible.

Town Office Closed for Rest of the day

Due to the weather

We will be CLOSED for our regular evening hours 4pm – 7pm.

The Town Clerk and Treasurer will not be in the office this evening.
