Monkton Vermont

The following Town of Monkton officials will be elected at Town Meeting on March 3^rd, 2015.  In order to be on the ballot candidates must file a petition signed by 1% of the voters of the Town of Monkton with the Town Clerk by January 26^th, 2015 by 5 p.m.

* NOTE: Planning Commission 1 yr balance of 3 yr term (March 2015- March 2016) will be back up for a one year elected term in March of 2016 (March 2016 – March 2017), then revert to 3 year terms thereafter, as per article passed in 2014 Town Meeting.

The Town Treasurer is available for extended hours next week, if you wish to make your payment in person:
Monday Nov. 10 – Friday, Nov. 14:  8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Saturday Nov. 15:  8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Monday Nov. 17: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Payment may be left in the drop box at the town hall. Payment must be in the box prior to the deadline to be considered on-time.

Taxes paid by mail must be postmarked PRIOR to November 17, 2014. The town of Monkton is not responsible for mailed tax payments not received.
