Monkton adopted zoning bylaws in 1978 and they have been updated several times since then. Here is the current Unified Planning Document. Before any new construction or altering the external envelope of any existing buildings please consult with the Monkton Zoning Administrator.
The Town of Monkton is in the process of hiring a new Zoning Administrator, while we are searching, we do have an interim ZA. Hours are by appointment only and email is the quickest way to get a response: zoning@monktonvt.com.
