In September 2022 the Selectboard created a Town Administrator position to respond to an ever increasing workload. Stan Wilbur was hired as Monkton’s first Town Administrator.
The Town Administrator is an administrative position responsible for coordinating the policy and programmatic directives established by the Selectboard and acting as a liaison between the Selectboard and other Town boards, commissions, committees, officials and employees and the general public as required.
