Please remember that the date to file your Homestead Declaration and Property Tax Credit Claim (HS-122) with the State of Vermont is APRIL 15th, 2026. This filing date applies even if you obtain an extension to file your tax returns. Filing by 4/15/26 also enables the Town to update our records well in advance of when property tax bills are sent out later in the year.
The Vermont Homestead program is managed at the State level and is not a municipal program. Although we do our best to assist with questions, all determinations are made by the State.
