On June 24th, 2012, Monkton will be celebrating its 250th Birthday;
being chartered by then Governor Wentworth of New Hampshire on June

Vote on Town Flag during Town Meeting
The residents of Monkton will be voting at Town Meeting on March 6 to select a town flag. Voting will occur at the Monkton Central School gym between 10 AM – 1 PM and 4 PM – 7 PM.

Proposed New Town Hall / Library
On Tuesday March 6th at Town Meeting the town will be asked to vote on whether to approve issuing a bond for a new Town Hall and Library. The plan is to move the existing Town Hall 700 feet to the North, add a new foundation and extend the building to create room for an expansion of the Russell Memorial Library and an improved workspace for Town Offices.
