Vermont Gas will be doing testing of the pipeline using a pipeline inspection guage (‘pig’) which travels slowly down the pipeline over the course of several days. They will be doing a total of 5 runs and the testing will take place night and day for about a month starting on July 9th. Part of the process is to track the ‘pig’ by sensing it where the Vermont Gas pipeline goes under roads. The result is there may be Vermont Gas vehicles parked at the following road crossing at odd hours depending on the progress of the ‘pig’:
- Cedar Lane
- Post Road
- Monkton Road
- Old Stage Road
- Parks Hulburt Road
