Bristol Road Paving

The Contractor will be paving on Bristol Road starting Tuesday, July 2nd. They typically work 6AM-6PM (give or take) and is weather dependent. Those who use this route of travel during the day should expect minor delays. Construction is expected to be complete Tuesday or Wednesday.

Mountain Road Roadwork

The Monkton Road Crew will be working on Mountain Road between Church Road and States Prison Road for the next three to four weeks to upgrade roadside ditches to meet state specs for storm water runoff.  The crew is planning to begin cutting back brush starting this week with major ditching work commencing on July 8, 2024.  One way traffic will be maintained through the work zone. Once the ditching work is complete the roadway will be refurbished with additional gravel. Residents with questions are encouraged to contact the Monkton Town Office at 802 453 3800.
