NOTICE OF PROPOSED SALE
Notice is hereby given of the proposed sale by the Town of Monkton, Vermont, of real estate parcel number 13.101.065.01E, SPAN: 399-124-11138 located in the Town of Monkton. The property is the 1859 Town Hall Building on a 0.06± acre lot located at 280 Monkton Ridge. The property was listed with Greentree Real Estate and three offers have been received. The offers were discussed by the Monkton Selectboard at a regularly scheduled meeting on September 26, 2023 at the Monkton Town Office. The Selectboard selected the offer made by Robert Wahl of Monkton in the amount of $105,000, pursuant to terms of a Purchase and Sale Contract and Addendum dated 10/02/23.
Unless a petition seeking a Special Town Meeting on the proposed sale signed by five percent (5%) of the legal voters of Monkton is presented to the Monkton Town Clerk within 30 days of this Notice pursuant to 24 V.S.A. § 1061(a)(12), then Monkton will convey the property to Robert Wahl, or assignee, on or about November 17, 2023. The Purchase and Sale Contract and Addendum may be viewed at the Monkton Town Office.
