Reminder: Dog Licenses due April 1st.

The Monkton Town Clerk will be available to issue dog licenses to Monkton patrons. Dog licenses are due April 1^st. Prices before and up to April 1^st, 2013 will be $11 to $15 depending on if your dog is spayed or neutered or not. After April 1^st, the price goes up to $13 to $19. Special licenses are required for kennels. Check with Town Clerk Sharon Gomez for information at 453-3800 during regular office hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays 8am – 1pm. Tuesday and Thursday evenings 4pm – 7pm

2013 List of Appointments

The Town of Monkton is looking for qualified individuals to serve as Town Officers or as members of Commissions or Boards. Below is a list of appointed positions in Monkton that you might be interested in volunteering for. Positions shaded in grey will be appointed in the coming weeks. The Selectboard will make appointments at their next regularly scheduled meeting Monday March 25th. Rabies Clinic

Make sure to plan to take your pet to the Rabies Clinic at the Monkton Volunteer Fire Department on Tuesday, March 19^th, 2013 from 6:30 to 7:30. The cost per pet will be $15 for the rabies vaccination. Please have your pet on a leash at the clinic. You should bring your prior rabies vaccination papers, also. It is a state law that your dog is to be licensed in the town you live in, but you can get it’s vaccination in any town. All area pet owners are invited to this clinic.
