NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that proposals and qualificators are being solicited by the Town of
Monkton to obtain “MUNICIPAL AUDIT SERVICES”. Individuals responding to this Request for Proposal (RFP) should have a knowledgeable background in municipal and governmental accounting and have extensive experience in providing auditing services for
municipalities in Vermont.

TOWN OF MONKTON SELECTBOARD APPOINTMENTS
Directly after Town Meeting, the Selectboard begins the process of making appointments to various committees that perform the bulk of the Town’s business. Many of these committees are actively recruiting new members. This year the following positions below will be appointed. Some committees have one or more positions available and/or open. Except where indicated, you do not have to be a resident of Monkton to apply.

NOTICE

In order to prevent the abuse of any highway, or portion thereof, the Town of Monkton Road Foreman has posted all Town Highways under the provisions of the TOWN OF MONKTON ORDINANCE FOR the REGULATION OF VEHICLE WEIGHT LIMITS ON TOWN HIGHWAYS – Section 802 – Temporary or Special Weight Restrictions. From February 26, 2026 to May 15th or as otherwise established due to seasonable weather conditions pursuant to Section 802: Vehicle weight shall not to exceed Two-axel trucks 15,000 lbs.; Three-axel trucks – 18,000 lbs.; Tractor-trailer units – 20,000 lbs.
