Federal Mediator’s report regarding the ANESU is complete
The Executive Committee of the ANESU Board and representatives of ANEDA (the Educational Association) reviewed recommendations from Federal Mediator, Cynthia Jeffries, on August 27, 2015. Ms. Jefferies had been asked by the Executive Committee to conduct an assessment in an effort to rebuild working relationships in our school community.
The Executive Committee and ANEDA met with Cynthia Jefferies to hear her recommendations for moving forward. The recommendations were the result of interviews, email exchanges and phone conversations between Ms. Jefferies and Addison Northeast teachers, support staff, administrators, and board members that took place during the month of June 2015.
The goal of the recommendations from the federal mediator is to establish effective communication and collaborative working relationships that support the ANESU mission and the Ends (the ANESU educational outcomes).
Both the Executive Committee and ANEDA are in agreement that we should secure and schedule training to accomplish this goal. The Executive Committee will be bringing this proposal to the Supervisory Union Board at an upcoming meeting, early this fall.
