Tax Bills

Announcement

Monkton property tax bills were mailed out Saturday 9/1/2018 and Tuesday 9/4/2018.

The first State download for property tax adjustments is included on the original tax bill; the next download should be in September.

The Treasurer will send revised bills, each time we receive new information from the State.  This could be for homestead declaration changes, State payments, Lister corrections, or Land Use changes.

Please contact the Town Treasurer (453-3800) or Treasurer@monktonvt.com if you have any questions or if you do not receive your bill in a reasonable amount of time.

Job Posting: Recording Secretary for Selectboard and DRB

The Monkton Selectboard the the Monkton Development Review Board (DRB) are seeking a Recording Secretary. The job includes taking minutes at Selectboard and DRB meetings and timely delivery of said minutes to town hall and the town website.

The Selectboard meets the 2nd & 4th Monday of the month and the DRB on the 2nd & 4th Tuesday of the month. Meetings usually last somewhere between 1.5 and 3 hours.

Pay is $16/hour.

2018 Primary Warning and Sample Ballots

A statewide Primary Election will be held on TUESDAY, AUGUST 14, 2018 to vote for candidates for the following offices:

-U.S. Senator    -State Treasurer  -State Senator(s)  -States Attorney
-U.S. Representative  -Secretary of State  -State Representative(s)  -Sheriff
-Governor -Auditor of Accounts -Probate Judge -High Bailiff
-Lieutenant Governor -Attorney General -Assistant Judge
