Housing Committee

The Town of Monkton Selectboard is looking for people interested in forming a new Housing Committee.  Preliminary work would focus on developing a mission statement and then working on exploring and developing solutions to create more affordable and medium income housing in Monkton.  Investigations could include proposing changes to zoning regulations, partnering with local groups and non-profits, exploring grant opportunities and generating proposals for ARPA monies.  If you would like to work on this issue and serve on such a committee please email Selectboard@monktonvt.com, contact any Selectboard member or call Town Hall at 802-388-4300.

Appointments to Addison County Regional Planning Commission

At its May 23, 2023 meeting the Monkton Selectboard will be considering candidates for appointments to Addison County Regional Planning Commission positions for the July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2024 term.

  • ACRPC Full Commission – Two Delegates and two Alternate Delegates
  • ACRPC Transportation Advisory Committee – One Delegate and one Alternate Delegate
  • ACRPC Regional Emergency Management Committee – One Director and one Emergency Services Representative.
