The Monkton Planning Commission has updated the Town Plan sections containing US Census data, cultural resources in the Utilities and Facilities section, and two Natural resources sections: Forest Resources and Water Resources to add information from the 2023 Natural Resources Inventory, especially to meet the requirements of Act 171. The Plan Implementation section was reorganized and updated a well. The Selectboard has reviewed the updated Town Plan and made minor changes. The Treasurer will be available @ Town Hall (92 Monkton Ridge) to receive 2024 tax payments as follows:
Wed 11/13: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Thur 11/14: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Fri 11/15: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (2024 deadline)
A secure lockbox is located at the rear entrance to Town Hall, adjacent to the library book drop, to receive payments at any time.
