Town Of Monkton Elected Positions

If you are interested in running for an elected office in the town of Monkton, a list of open or expiring terms is shown below.

To have your name appear on the ballot you must submit a petition with the signatures of at least 1% of the registered voters in Monkton (approximately 17, but it’s good to be on the safe side and get more in case some signatures end up being deemed ineligible). Forms for petitions are available from the Town Clerk. Petitions should be returned to the Town Clerk or the drop box at the Town Hall.

The deadline for submitting a petition is Monday, January 28 at 5PM

Sand

Reminder:

Monkton residents are more than welcome to come to the Monkton Highway Department and take sand for use on their driveways. Please take sand from the pile that is located in the front corner of the Recycling Center parking lot. Please do not take sand from the large Highway Department sand pile. Feel free to call the Highway Department at 802-453-3263 if you have any questions.
