There is an informational meeting to discuss the two bond proposals which will be voted on by Australian ballot at Town Meeting day. The informational meeting is on Saturday February 23rd at 10 a.m. at the Fire Station.

Article 7: Shall general obligation bonds of the Town of Monkton in an amount not to exceed One Million fifty Thousand Dollars ($1,050,000) be issued for the purpose of financing the construction of a town office building/library, at an estimated cost of One Million Fifty Thousand Dollars ($1,050,000).
The second article deals with an addition to the Fire Station on States Prison Hollow Road that is used by the Monkton Volunteer Fire Department (MVFD).
Acticle 8: Shall general obligation bonds or notes of the Town of Monkton in and amount not to exceed One Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars ($120,000) be issued for the purpose of financing an addition to the fire station, as an estimated cost of One Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars ($120,000)
