MCC Town Forest Walk to ID Invasive Plant Species

Join us at 11AM this Saturday (6/7/25) in the Monkton Town Forest with Addison County Forester Brandon Benedict to look for and identify invasive plant species. We may also observe a section of the Town Forest that seems to have no invasive plant species as a model of how the forest would look without invasives.
We’ll meet near the pond on Hardscrabble Road and discuss what we find there. If time permits, we’ll head over to the parking area on Old Airport Road and see an area without invasives.
There is some parking available but it’s limited so please plan on carpooling. We also recommend bug/tick spray and water.
