Monkton adopted zoning bylaws in 1978 and they have been updated several times since then. Here is the current Unified Planning Document. Before any new construction or altering the external envelope of any existing buildings please consult with the Monkton Zoning Administrator.
The Town of Monkton has hired a new Zoning Administrator. Susan Gulrajani accepted the offer from the Town and is starting the process of coming on board. Susan has a strong background in real estate and is currently working as Zoning Administrator in Bolton. Her actual start date and office hours have not yet been worked out. In the mean time, we do have an interim ZA. Hours are by appointment only and email is the quickest way to get a response: zoning@monktonvt.com.
