Vote on Town Flag during Town Meeting

The residents of Monkton will be voting at Town Meeting on March 6 to select a town flag. Voting will occur at the Monkton Central School gym between 10 AM – 1 PM and 4 PM  – 7 PM.

Proposed New Town Hall / Library

On Tuesday March 6th at Town Meeting the town will be asked to vote on whether to approve issuing a bond for a new Town Hall and Library.  The plan is to move the existing Town Hall 700 feet to the North, add a new foundation and extend the building to create room for an expansion of the Russell Memorial Library and an improved workspace for Town Offices. Article 1: Shall the voters of the Town of Monkton adopt the Unified Planning Document files with the Clerk of the Town of Monkton on January 24, 2012?

The Article passed by a vote of 130 to 128.  Thank you to all the citizens of Monkton who took the time to come to Town Hall and vote!
